Travis spends a few moments just being amazed... the ring fits. And while he can't see anything it does or doesn't do, he can feel power radiating from the thing, almost hear it, as if its trying to speak to him.
.oO(I've heard plenty about these things, but never thought i'd actually touch a real Green Lantern thing... and, of course, it probably means they're going to want it back.)
The kid ponders a few more moments, focusing intently on the ring.
.oO(I should probably take it back... I mean, if I could find someone who'd believe what it is, I could... I have no idea... probably buy New York and clean it up. Somehow, I think having one of these in the wrong hands would do more harm than any good I'd do as part of the rich and powerful. I should just take it back... I should... oh hell no. It'll run out of gas in, what is it... 24 hours? Less whatever that straight edge guy used it for... but hey, they'll probably find me in less... but cosmic power for ten minutes still beats the heck out of whatever else I had planned. What to do first... they say if you have the will for it, these things'll do damn near anything... So, if I'm on the last ten minutes of my life, probably... let's do this in style.)
He focuses, trying to not so much visualize anything - as just try to bring the right form and texture into being. His street rags are replaced by head to toe black - Doc Marten's, form fitting leather pants and a tight shirt, and the obligatory badass trenchcoat. "Now we're talking. And like hell I'm walking."
Another moment of focus, surprised at how quickly this thing responds to him, and he's levitating. "Now, so I'm not flying blind..." Again, there's no visual effect, more a matter of feel - he uses the ring the way he uses his hands - to guide himself around. And suddenly, the world becomes clear, a 3-D map laid up around him. No color, just images, giving him a perfect idea what lies around him in all directions.
"Oh, this is going to rock."
